I've been working in the mental health field for over 25 years. I felt drawn to this line of work in my 20's when I realized that mental health struggles are all around us. It can affect our own selves, our family members, or friends and can occur at any time of life. I'm here to help you along the journey with no judgment; providing a safe space to share, to express emotions and to sometimes even find a moment of joy! I use a variety of therapy techniques but the treatments I mainly draw from are psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, solution-focused therapy and motivational interviewing. I have several areas of focus in my practice including mood disorders (depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder), grief, aging, trauma, substance use, women's issues and LGBTQ+ individuals. I provide individual therapy sessions, and I work with ages 20 through 100.
